Who writes this site
shiftatmidnightwiki.site is curated and edited by Jellyfish, an independent games-content creator who also maintains a small group of sister guide sites for other games. This is a one-person independent project — not a content farm, and not affiliated with any publisher. That is a limitation worth stating plainly: coverage moves at the speed of one editor. It is also the reason the rules on the editorial policy page can actually be enforced on every page, because the same person applies them to all of them.
What this site is for
The goal is the most useful English-language reference for Shift At Midnight — the co-op survival horror game by solo developer Bun Muen, published by Kwalee, released 22 July 2026. In practice that means answering the questions players actually arrive with: what a threat is and how it behaves, whether a group can play together across platforms, what a patch changed, and whether the game is worth its price to someone like them.
It is organised around threats and systems rather than a numbered walkthrough, and that is a deliberate consequence of how the game works: shifts are procedurally generated, so recognising a Shrieking Doll by its scream is true on every run while “on night four you will meet X” is not.
How things get verified
Every factual claim starts from a primary source — the official store listing, the developer’s own patch material, or public Steam global stats for achievement rates — and pages carry the date they were last checked and the game build they were checked against. Community measurements are used where they are the only thing that exists, credited to whoever made them and labelled as community work.
Where no reliable source exists, the page says so instead of guessing. Several things about this game are genuinely unknown in public — the Rake’s health and spawn rate, per-weapon damage figures, who writes the in-game newsletter — and they are listed as open questions rather than answered with something plausible. Inference is labelled as inference wherever it appears, so you can always tell which sentences quote a source and which reason from one. The full set of rules, including how conflicts between sources are handled, is on the editorial policy page.
Independence
The site is funded by third-party display advertising and nothing else. There are no affiliate links, no commissions on anything you buy, and no paid coverage, scores or placement — the disclaimer states this in full and the privacy policy covers what the advertising and analytics vendors collect.
Get in touch
Corrections, tips, discoveries and guide requests all go to the same place: the contact page. Verified corrections are applied within 48 hours and the page is re-dated.
